How to comfort your girlfriend when she's sad?

My girlfriend has been really sad here lately. She's just been having bad thoughts inside she's not sure why. How can I comfort her? What should I say to her?

Show her that you are there and that you care. Offer to do things. Take her out to places you know she likes. If she likes words, make sure to talk with her and tell her the things that you like about her. If she likes touch, be close, cuddle and kiss her. If she likes gifts, try to find something reasonable that she likes.

Show her lots of affection. Cuddles and kisses, hold her close. Tell her you want her to talk about it to you, talking about issues like this helps a lot. Plan some dates, take her to the park or for a walk. Take her to a movie or to get food. They're all good distractions from bad feelings. Maybe try surprise her with a gift, like her favourite snacks or a product she likes. Just make her feel heard, understood and supported :)
