It seems that when I raise my voice even slightly, women think that I'm yelling. When I worked at a grocery store as a cashier, a woman asked for me to repeat myself because it was hard to hear me and when I raised my voice she got offended and got very upset and to not yell at her.
Even with my ex when I would try to speak louder so she could hear me, she would think I'm yelling. I've noticed this with other people. A woman was with her family in public and the husband spoke up and his wife got upset and told him to not scream at her.
Because in my opinion and in my eyes, if I wanted to yell, I would use my diaphragm and yell with force and at the top of my lungs. Can someone help me understand?
