From what I heard, employers avoid hiring young women in high earnings positions because they think they are going to get pregnant and take time off work. So they only hire older women and avoid hiring younger women.

Well that's interesting considering my mom is the VP of Human Resources for a large employer and she would tell you that you are full of shit. There have been laws against that sort of thing in the US for decades and employers have human resource departments to enforce those laws. When it DOES happen there are costly lawsuits and you better believe employers don't want that, so the vast majority don't break those laws. And guess what, the vast majority of human resource professionals are women, so if what you claims was actually true, who would be at fault for it?

You're just quoting very outdated stereotypes that haven't had any truth in them for many years. I'm a dude. This what I was told. They won't say that's the reason they are not hiring women but they will come up with any reason not hire them. They are not stupid enoigh to get a law suit. I have to have the right politics in order for me just to pay the bills. So sometimes I am mislead by it. I have to be this way in order for me to survive so I might not know as much you do.
