Is it THE mistake for a man to talk to women about other women?

Like, is there any magical siren that makes everyone know he friendzoned her just by mentioning another woman? My friends told me I should never have mentioned another woman when talking to a certain woman. I just didn't say I'd even want to friendzone her. I honestly don't like how others take for granted to decide about my intentions with people.

No, but it kinda depends on what and how he speaks of them.

If a guy I know talks about women disparigingly, or in a creepy way, it kinda shows me his inner truth. I know he'd flip around and have the same things to say about me.

So yeah, in that case, I'm not just gonna friendzone him, I'm outright no longer hanging out and - if it's bad enough - telling all our mutual lady friends to watch out.

But if he's respectful and normal, I don't see an issue with it. I talk about women with my best male friend all the time, and he's respectful - where he may have old views, I call him out and we discuss it.

A girl might assume you are not interested in her by mentioning other women unless you make it clear to her that you actually like her. If you prefer not to be direct you can slip in the things you love doing with her leaning in on her occasionally, expressing it by telling her you love talking to her and what features you think are cute about her. This will help her hint that you don't just see her as a friend or sister.
