Why are some older women insecure about their age?

Because men and society is ageist and tend to discriminate against women, based on their age.. They say that once you've hit a certain age, you are worthless, that you can't have kids, that older women are boring

I believe it is because they are worried that men won't find them attractive as they get older and so they must be ugly. Women like that are still trying to attract a 30 something man instead of looking for somebody their own age.
