Is it more attractive when a girl is more feminine?

I’m asking because I feel like I am such a little boy the way I dress and my whole behavior. Sometimes I kinda feel like people find me unattractive because of how I am. Even at work the girls call me out when I look a bit feminine “oooh look there is a girl under there”

if your looking for a long term partner then yes a feminine girl is often more attractive. however you can still be feminine and not dress in traditional girly colors or clothing so long as the outfit flatters your figure well. ideally you want to dress and behave in a more modest or conservative manner while out in public or group settings. better to save the more provocative clothing or behavior for when your alone with your partner. but above all else work on a way to have confidence in your physical, mental and emotional state.

But, to me, femininity is more about the energy one exudes and the way they carry themselves—more of an elusive energetic charisma and charm that radiates off them.


How they dress comes secondary. My SO for example can dress a bit tomboyish and she’ll be eager to do activities with me like gaming and shooting guns. But, her energy is very feminine.


If you’re into books, a good read would be The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida. It talks about masculine and feminine energetic polarities and how they attract. That concept has been hugely relevant in keeping my relationship of 3+ years very strong.

Nah, being who you are in an authentic and genuine way is more important.

I'm a tomboy and I've always been. It's gotten me a lot of attention from men.

It does scare away misogynists with a sense of masculinity so fragile that they can't handle me, but that's a bonus more than a drawback.

Frankly, I think you should be you and be you proudly.

You'll attract people who like you for who you. And that's more valuable than changing your appearance to attract people who otherwise won't like you because who you are isn't different.

It's often useful when asking questions like this, to ask people to define feminine. In my experience people have such varying views that to simply debate this topic would be somewhat pointless our definitions are completely different.

Be yourself regardless. Some will, some won't (just like women with different types of guys). Some guy will like you just as you are, and you're not going to be happy if you try to change yourself into someone you're not.

Of course it is. But Don’t force something try to find what you enjoy. Try to find ways to be girly while also being tomboyish. Because you being naturally you is the most attractive.
