Children are a blessing yet so many women have a negative view of maternity why?

You’re a woman your body is special no man who has ever existed can do that so why do so many women not want children?

The entire world can be against you and your child would still love you unconditionally and so many women deprive themselves of one the greatest joy of being a woman MOTHERHOOD 💯

Because it's a vulnerable position to be in and there are many guys that love sex without contraception but less guys that are actually wanting or being ready to be a father.

Chances are that a pregnancy makes a guy leave a woman. It's the fact that nature seems to be unfair in such cases.

But it brings a woman also financially in a vulnerable position because she has to work less and therefore makes her dependent on other people.

Another issue is we live in a culture where you are what you make. In a culture where working a job is more valuable socially than educating children I can understand that some women don't want to be just a stay at home mum.

I also see a development in guys that they see their part done by going to work my father only took part in our education when it involved homework my mum didn't help with or when we were at holidays.

Most of the other time my father didn't participate much in our education. We live in a day and age where both parents have to work so many women don't want to be seen as the only one responsible for house work, cooking and education while their husband wants to enjoy a free evening in front of the TV.

Women are completely against women if they aren’t then why didn’t women build society for women because success looks different for men than it does for women if a man is successful he shares his wealth a successful woman keeps it all to herself

I think it's a beautiful thing and incredible that our bodies can grow humans. And don't worry women will still be having babies. But I won't be. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate pregnancy and the women who do have children. I love my mom. It was not easy at all for her. she lost her hair, teeth, became diabetic, and had postpartum depression all during/as a result of the pregnancies of my siblings and I. That's no small feat.

That's very true and she never made us feel bad for her going through all that. She's recovered from all that since then and now has 4 children who will love her forever. So she says it's worth it.

There are several other options when we're younger and having going to college is one of them. I recalled having no desires (0% urges) for kids until my late 20's, a couple months after my 28th b-day to be exact.

I'm still childless but in a current relationship so I'm working on that issue. If luck and things are meant to be, then maybe I'll be a mother soon; hopefully.

Though I'll be ok with only one child (at most 2 if lucky). Kids can be expensive and they take a lot of your energy and time.

The only issue is men are lining up to have kids with women under 25. No so much over 30. You know i think when im 90 ill desire to be a professional surfer. Work when young, peak athleticism when im older... just because i want that doesn't mean its the best option or most realistic.

I think for some women it’s not that they don’t take pride in being a women it’s just that they realized that the lifestyles sometimes associated with doing their “women duties” aren’t rlly for them. Personally I can’t wait to be a mom and do all that stuff but some women just prefer not to tap into that side of womanhood.

Oh I definitely do take pride in being a woman! I absolutely love being pregnant, having babies and breastfeeding. Thats why I've devoted my life to being a mother 👶 💕

I don't think it's not taking "pride", but also there are plenty of woman who want kids not every woman wants one and its not about them being selfish or brainwashed making them think that they don't want children. Also its kinda weird that a person that doesn't have the ability to give birth is saying how we are selfish or etc if we don't want kids.

Parenthood can be hard. It’s not all peaches and cream. It’s a lot of work and money and there’s not garuntee that child is going to grow up and like you or love you. Yea it can be rewarding but that’s if you are able to do everything to get that award. Plus with the state of the world today you gotta question if it’s ethical

Thank you for this type of response, 100% right. Even though the world has gotten a million times better in every way and the standard of life over the last 100 years has risen by a lot, that still doesn't mean parenting is an easy job. It's a hard duty but as the saying goes, the best things in life won't come easy. I just wish people didn't look down on parents so much, kids can be a big pain to raise.

@creampiekarl420 to live is suffering, parenting is one way to find meaning. Just because people have a duty to become one doesn't change that. Personally, I think the world has forgotten the positives of parenting and have only focused on the negatives. Even occasionally, parents aren't treated with respect and many people don't even see it as a honorable career.

Those pictures are storybook life.. there are small moments like those "perfect world". Actually, that fantasy is counterproductive and leads to a sense of personal failure. It is a disservice to the average family. The number of fathers that I know who have committed suicide unable to live to YOUR picture Standard is more than I ever even considered. You are a boy...
