I took the test a while back! But my results are apparently probably wrong...

My Psychology professor has a huge peeve about this. He says that Westerners like to...

Think of themselves as Introverted rather than Extroverted (and he shudders when people insist they are ambiverts)

Intuitive instead of Sensory

Feeling instead of Thinking

And Judging instead of Perceiving.

So basically, while most of the population is ISTJ and ISFJ (comprising ~15% of people), most people identify as INFJ, INFP, ENFJ, or ENFP, despite those being somewhat rarer - INFJ's make up, apparently, .5% of males, and 1.5% of females.

And I tested... INFJ. Go figure. Whether or not I'm a REAL INFJ remains to be seen.

Why he hates them? Tbh i also feel tests and all these are stereotyping peeps its just like alpha beta classification which is all made up and make no sense in reality cuz in real life everyones unique. But i would love to know his reasons tho do ask tho why he hates em

He claims that its like a color spectrum - every shade is unique, but it's still useful to group them into reds and greens, even if they are TECHNICALLY all on a spectrum and separate "colors."

So he isn't oposing the idea. Tbh classifying could help at times to get broader perspective about certain personalities with exceptions wise guy tbh

you should consider that the myers briggs test has no actual basis in science though. it's like astrology for nerds. i enjoy it, but i know not to base my judgement of people on it

I can't remember what it's called but it was a personality type that was extremely rare and only a small part of the worlds population has it.

At least that's what the personality test I had to take for school said when they got it back.
