Well in my personal experience, I call him "daddy" because I wanted it to sound sweet, sexy, and flirt with him. A lot of girls do this, not to get attention, but they say it as a way of like you're their protector. Don't be annoyed by this. Also, I think that some girls ask the say question why guys call them "mama".
