I picked 'B' but I can multitask, too, if necessary. It doesn't take every ounce of my concentration to pilot a simple car.

I follow all the rules like making complete stops at stop signs, etc. I'm courteous. I'm aware of what's in front, behind, and around me at all times. I anticipate potential dangers. I rarely take my eyes off of the road and my mirrors for a second or two, and only when it's safe.

BUT, I rarely limit myself to the speed limit if it's safe to drive faster. I treat the speed limit as a guideline. I don't drive like I'm in a race. I don't cut in and out. If someone wants to go faster than me, I let them by.

I tend to stick with the flow of traffic. If the speed limit on a highway is 65 mph and faster traffic is flowing at 80, I'm going 80, and effortlessly, by the way.

If I'm on an empty highway with a posted speed limit of 55 mph, I go at least 63. If the speed limit is 65, I go 73. Cops almost never pull someone over for going less than 10 mph over the speed limit. I'd go faster if I wasn't afraid of getting a citation.

I used to drive way more aggressively from the time I got my license at age 16. I had a really hot car in my early 20s. Driving was fun.
They didn't really limit the number of tickets you could get before having your license suspended, and they didn't report it to your insurance company. So I just paid the speeding fines. So, yeah, I was Johnny Race and did some crazy shit back in the day, as long as it didn't endanger anyone.

From around 28 years old, I drove a company car all over as part of my job. I drove close to 50k miles per year. I had to get from place to place as quickly as possible, so my younger attitude paid off. At that point, though, I had to be really careful to avoid speeding tickets or risk losing my job. I also multi-tasked like a motherfucker in my car when working. I could look at my laptop, talk on my phone (for business), look at directions to my next stop, eat, drink, smoke. To not do anything but drive was a time killer because, in the field, I had to work as long as it took to get my job done each day. So being productive when driving saved me time.

I retired from that job at age 56 and was back to driving my personal car. I was also married. My compulsion to get where I was going as fast as possible tapered off. I learned to relax. So now I'm Mr. Mellow, except for speeding a bit when it's safe.

I now live in a rural area near a highway. It's 18 miles to town. Long stretches of the highway have only one lane in each direction but some parts have a passing lane.

The most dangerous people on the road are those who stick to the speed limit or even go slower no matter how traffic is flowing or how many cars are behind them. They cause people to eventually get impatient and try to pass. Some slow drivers are not only inconsiderate but also incompetent.

I have been run over twice, I've been in a couple of crashes, my brother died in a car crash, my brother's are speeders...

Sorry, I keep to the speed limit and pay attention to the road. I might glance but I don't look at you if we're talking and the only multi-tasking I do is music or the radio.

If I get a call I pull over.

Life's too short and I am all about getting from point A to B and enjoying the ride.

If that's not exciting for you, well, we can rent karts or sports car and see who's fastest on the track, because I'm sure as hell not going to risk lives on public roads.

(There's videogames for that, you know?) 😄

I'm mostly A but I'm not exactly slow. Most of the driving I've ever done is to drive the band home from gigs in Erie or Youngstown. I'm the only one that doesn't drink, smoke pr do drugs so, even though I've never had a license, I'm the safest bet to get us home. We've had at least 3 road accidents over the 25 years that I was in the band and none of them were from me driving! Thankfully, they were all very minor things, in fact, the one time, it was BECAUSE of me that we DIDN'T have the accident but, had I not been there, we would've AT LEAST hit the car in front of us!!

Sadly, I can''t even listen to music while driving because, being the drummer, I start using the gas pedal as my bass drum pedal and, before I know it, we're going 80 MPH!

Slow and careful whether Im riding or driving. As I know full well that nothing good comes out of rushing to get to ones destination. On top of that I refuse to stress myself unnecessarily so to get somewhere because im cutting it close or am already late. Did that in my early 20s and it was SO NOT WORTH THE ANXIETY THAT TOOK YEARS TO UNDO. Ughhhhhh

Driving for me is a lot like pooping. I don’t like it, but sometimes i gotta do it anyway. When i do, i want to get it over with quickly and get on to other things as soon as possible. I really only get angry with other drivers if their behavior is dangerous. But i do get angry.

But I never multitask, I am always focused.
I want to get from A to B as fast and safe possible. If I'm on an empty highway, I'm not going the speed limit, that's for sure. But I don't mind chilling behind a truck on a busy one.

I am not ridiculously slow but I am a careful driver and I am only losing some of the abilities with age.

I am a very theoretical follower of rules and best practices (most of which are not known to 99% of drivers in this coubtry) amd I absolutely hate morons on the road.

I always drive the car as it should. I drive slowly where I need to go slowly. Where you need to go fast, I drive at medium speed without waiting. I try not to brake suddenly. I am a good and reliable driver. I don't like other types of drivers

I'm a DEFENSIVE DRIVER who concentrates on driving (ignore phone, text, and in-car conversations), paying attention to what's going on around me, and always trying to anticipate things, with a Plan B in the back of my mind.

Since I've gotten older. I have slowed my speed down. It's not worth the cost of speeding. Getting angry at some cautious person. It's not their fault that you did not plan ahead to get there safely.
