Girls, I guess I have to accept it for now, my friend that’s a girl had to delete me. Will she be back?

Met this girl a year ago, at first we had an attraction for each other hung out hooked up. After that things slowed down decided just to be friends and than she went back to her ex. We still talked and asked how each other were doing. They broke up again and she started snapping me and all again. Fast forward to recent she wishes me happy birthday and few days later I noticed she deleted me on snap but still has me added on ig and other stuff. I asked her why and she said he is insecure and he deleted me and not sure she can add me back? What changed from this year to last when she did that? I was not hitting on her and just tried being a friend. Although it was just a year I did value her and enjoyed talking with her. I feel more upset than I should be but will she be back as a friend? Or did I lose her completely here?

First of all she meant you all along like a backup. It's very clear. She first didn't commit to you but kept you like a casual hookup to then commit to her ex. Then came back to you when she was alone (that's the function of the backup guy).
We can't know why she deleted you but what is sure is that her perception of the respect she owes you is low, and so she doesn't have big problems in deleting you out of the blue without specific justifications, as well. Who knows. Maybe she was dating a jealous guy. Maybe she got an immense crush on someone and wants to prepare the ground to be all for him, ignoring male friends too. Maybe she decided to delete all her backup guys for the sake of her stability and focus on her next guys only. Maybe she was about to share some side of herself to catch the attention to a guy in particular and didn't want to catch yours or to make you jealous so she deleted you to not see that. Many reasons could be there but of course deleting someone (a friend, not an unknown person) without a valid reason is never something good and leaves you necessarily with a lot of question marks on your head.
Since we can't know why she did that, it's difficult to predict if she will be back or not. But at the same time I think the way she didn't respect you so far, doesn't make her so worthy to wait, afterall, and it doesn't describe her really as a "friend". I think a real friend would have the minimum responsibility to explain what is going on.
She could come back, yeah, but mostly when she will need a backup for some attention, and if you will be there you'd only reinforce this dynamic, rewarding her. I think if you stay apart is for the best... And there are definitely much better friends out there, who would be actual friends. Don't let her set your standards (low) for what a friendship should be, and the ones you deserve.

Thank you! As for the guy pretty certain it’s the same ex that she’s been on and off with lol. After I realized I was removed I texted her and she said her man is insecure and removed me but she still has me added on the other platforms, I can see what you mean about the respect. I think that’s why I feel bad cause I thought we were closer than that
