I'd prefer not to at all, but if I was given only these two choices, I would choose my girlfriends rather than guy friends. The answer is simple though. I wouldn't want any of my guy friends to get any ideas.

Now, I am not saying all guys are like this, but you know there are a lot that are. They tend to sexualize girls fully clothed or in swimwear as it is. Take part of that away and it gets worse. I wouldn't want a boat full of guys leering at me and objectifying me.

That is a lot less likely to happen if it is with a group of girls, especially friends. It is no different than the times where I would change in front of friends at a gym or one of a few "girls trips" where we all shared a room.

I didn't think much about it because we are all girls. Not really a thing. So, that would be my choice if I had no other option. However, I'd prefer not to do it at all. They don't want to see that and I have no reason to be topless in front of my friends.

Probably around guys, I trust most of the guys I know not to say or do anything but a lot of the girls I know are more "invasive" and would probably at least make more remarks than the guys would. Ideally, the choice would be neither, I can't imagine why that would ever happen and I'm not that confident/comfortable. From the US.

Your view to around guys is more common among women the older they are. The younger a girl is (usually) the answer is to be around other girls. The question actually comes from psychology studies so it is interesting you answered the way you did at your young age. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Thought hard on this one. While I would feel comfortable with either, I actually think I would feel safer with the guy friends. Strange men wouldn't be so lecherous or inappropriate with a group of guys with me, where-as a group of topless women would probably attract it.
