So recently, I proposed to a girl I really liked in my school, I told her the feelings I had for her knowing that she kinda liked me back. I always find myself staring at her and vice versa. Anytime she comes to my class she socialises with the other boys but barely seems to strike a conversation with me. I once gathered courage and asked her out for a walk around the school to which she told me she was feeling shy. Although I told her about my feelings for her later on, I didn't ask her if she felt the same towards me. She was a little surprised when I told her about it and yet she remained neutral and said nothing since I didn't ask her if she liked me back. After that happened (me proposing to her), I noticed she stopped coming to my class and kinda avoided any area she saw me at, after about a week or two she started coming to my class and trying to get close, am totally confused as to what might be going through her mind. Should I forget her thinking she doesn't like me back or have some more patience?

it's really up to you if you still like her try talking to her again and see if she is open to go out with you and see how things go. Cause she didn't really give you an answer. No answer is answer too at times but you say she seems to be closing the gap again. So if you are still up for it try again.

Given you are shy and wound up with such emotion In Love, ii is likely that you were unknowingly stress and expressing yourself in an incorrect manner. See if she will sit down with you and talk. Go get some ice cream. Make no demands of her. She probably is weirded out by it all... She definitely need space. Hopefully, as you reacquaint in friendship something boyfriend/girlfriend will come out of this for you.

She said nothing which can be an answer but also isn't at the same time. Silence can indicate a lot of things. I think the fact that she seems like she's taking interest in you after you confessed shows there might be some potential. May be worth to try again if you get more good signs
