Is it normal to receive gifts from female co-worker?

I had this girl gave me chocolates, cup and a hug the last day i left the company, is it Normal or she is being nice? I have feeling on her should i ask?

She is absolutely being nice. But that is normal. If you are interested there is no harm in opening a little dialogue, perhaps just asking how things are at the old stomping ground.

I will highlight that I got pastries a coworked made, and only I got it (!), not long ago. It meant nothing beyond her being nice, having baked and recalled I'm a cake-monster.
