My coworker put on these adorable little "pulse warmers/wrist warmers" and I asked if I could take a picture, so I could make some for myself. I was fortunate and found the "recipe" for them, so didn't have to count them out but I made some adjustments and since she be hinting that she would like another pair (and outright asked if I'd make her a pair, she'd of course be willing to pay for mats + time) and I've been dodging it like a pro.
My issue isn't that I don't want to make them for her but that I have no idea how to price what I make, so I never sell - I've once upon a time, agreed to just knit out of "the kindness of my heart" but of course people took advantage of that so I stopped. Found out her birthday is next week, gives me just enough time to quickly throw together a pair but I don't want to put her in an awkward position.
Due to our work and how much time we spend together, we are quite close but we've never exchanged presents.
