Why would a girl say "don't hate me"?

Would you she tell a guy this?

Why would she be worried by that?

Was she trying to know if I liked her?

It was something unexpected but it was not her fault and it was out of our reach.

Context:

I'm with a girl trying to get an elevator, She was my guide to a building but she needed something from another employee that wasn't there at the moment. They've instructed her to wait until the other employee arrives, which was 20 minutes of waiting. She seemed friendly and started some conversations with me in the meantime (I don't mind waiting, I've gotten used to wait for long periods of time). She seem to be getting a little anxious for waiting this 20 minutes, during one moment when we stopped talking she looked at me and said:"Don't hate me". I didn't answer immediately as this was the first time a female has said something like that to me.

Another note, I was sitting and I noticed that she stood in front of me while she was looking somewhere else and for some reason she started to jump a little bit (for like a minute). The ironic part is that my head was facing her chest while she was jumping so I inevitably saw her chest bounce ( I was siting in the same spot and in the same direction for 10 minutes).

Why would she position herself in front of me so she could make little jumps like that?

Why would a girl say "don't hate me"?
