Girls, Why do I get noticably embarrassed at the mention of a speculum?

I don't usually get embarrassed about anything (when talking about things that are potentially embarrassing I tend to take on a very practical attitude, such as using medical terms for genitalia) but when discussing a SANE exam that was done incorrectly with my caseworker, and she asked if they used a speculum, I turned beet red... Now that's bothering me... I welcome thoughts.

It's a subject not many are comfortable saying out loud or anything to do with it

Yeah, that's true but I think at that point in that particular conversation I should have been able to handle THAT... it's just an odd thing to elicit that emotion after discussion everything else that was involved.
