Friend [F] texts me saying she had fun after eating dinner at a restaurant together, does she like me more than a friend?

Anonymous

Recently me and a friend went on a “dinner date” together (although I originally presumed it was entirely platonic). We usually only hang out in a group setting and this was the first time we made plans just the two of us.

We were both attending an event with some other friends later on that same day but both needed to grab something to eat beforehand so we arranged to eat dinner together. The other friends couldn’t join us until later, so it was just the two of us.

I really enjoyed eating with her and we got on just as well as we always do, laughing at the same kind of dumb jokes, but there was nothing flirty happening (at least not as far as I could tell).

Anyway, she texted me around midnight later that day (once we were both home) saying that she had a lot fun eating out with me. This caught me off guard, because it‘s the kind of thing a girl would text me after a date (rather than after just hanging out with a friend).

Do you guys think she might like me more than as a friend or did she just genuinely want to tell me that she had fun (platonically)?
