How do I go from snapping a girl to texting her?

I’ve posted here before about what’s been happening but here’s the rundown. I’m in a rather large highschool. There’s this girl who used to be in one of my classes and we happen to have a lot of mutuals. Last year when we hadn’t talked she randomly came up to me and asked if I hated her. I said I didn’t and thought nothing of it. Come this year she would randomly tell me (yes I mean me) and my friends I hated her whenever my name popped up in conversation. I grew the confidence to snap her and we cleaned everything up despite her not giving much information as to why she dropped the accusation. We’ve had several long conversations where she’s told me a lot about what’s been going on in her life. One of my mutuals even added me to a ft and promptly left leaving us to talk for like an hour or so. After all of this she snaps me once per day. This mutual is close with both of us. Often he tells me what she says behind my back. The first time we talked she snapped my friend saying I was funny and I jokingly snapped it back to her. After she told me a few sad things going on in her life I told her I was tearing up and she said I was sweet to our mutual. Now when I see her at school she acknowledges me with a big smile. She’s rlly bad at expressing her emotions with me. When we FaceTimed she was in tears and covering her face but wouldn’t admit it to me. I don't know if these are good signs but could someone give me some advice into all of this? Could she like me back or am i misunderstanding her friendliness?
