How can I forgive my sister for what she did to me 4 years ago? And should I sue her?

I still hate my sister for this and I don't know if I will ever be able to forgive her.

my sister kicked me really hard in my nuts when we were younger and I had to go to a nurse to have them checked because my mom thought that she split them open. They didn't split but since she did that I stopped growing taller, my voice didn't get deeper and I never grew more facial hair. I feel like this is all because of that one fight I had with her when she decided to kick me in the balls... All because I wanted to have a shower before she did.

Can I sue her for the damage that she caused? I just don't feel like I can forgive her because she ruined my life.

You don't have to forgive someone for doing something like that to you even if they are related because that is just messed up.

Hve you considered going to a doctor to see if they can help you with some of the deficits that you think this fight caused?

That is what was so infuriating.. my mom has been a widow for years now and she is not home often. She didn't arrive home for hours after this happened and found me still laying on the bathroom floor in a puddle of my own puke.. my sister told her what she did to me straight up and yet my mom only grounded her for a week and just told her not to kick me there again.

I have seen my doctor but she doesn't believe that my problems were caused by that and she just said it is because my mom is short but I just don't believe it because I was growing taller then my sister and mom quickly and I was getting facial hair before this happened.

That is disgusting! She kicked you in your testicles really hard that your Mom feared that they were damaged but she did nothing to teach her a lesson? That is just bad parenting! She would have gotten a smack and grounded for at least a month with no phone or computer if she was my daughter and did that to my son.

Hmmmm well maybe your doctor is right? But as you say, you had no issues growing in stature and facial hair until that point and then it stopped suddenly? That is a little bit suspect to me because your testicles were still developing and do a lot of the work during puberty for boys and help you grow and get facial hair and so on with testosterone and I don't see why a hard traumatic blow to them couldn't make them not function as they should? You might need to see another doctor to get a second opinion maybe?

Well if only you were my Mom because my Mom still treats my sister as her favourite even after she did that to me and she didn't even punish her and she is older then me so my Mom should have told her already not to do that.

I feel like it was definitely from when that happened because my balls even felt like they were a different shape for a while after she did it, that's how hard it was. I feel like my doctor and Mom and sister just don't care because none of them have testicles.

Well first forgiveness isn't always for the person who hurt you. Forgiving others is more for your own well being. 2nd fighting over who going to take a shower first is stupid on both of you guys part. I guess that is a different way to look at it... But every day I look in the mirror or if I try to date girls and they comment on my height or lack of facial hair it is a constant reminder of what happened and that my sister caused that to me and got away with it 😠

And yes it was such a stupid thing to fight over but I only pushed her and then she overreacted by doing that and really hard so it's her fault for going to far

I’m sorry to read about what happened to you. It might be possible to sue your sister but you will probably need a medical report stating that you’re not developing facial hair, growing taller and your voice getting deeper was due to the kick she gave you.

Also there may be a time limit for being able to sue her.
