Do girls like to know the guy *more* than other people do? What's the reason behind it?

Note that it isn't about a girls I'm interested in or am/was in a relationship with.

This is something that I have been experiencing since a while but only lately, I have begun to notice it. I don't usually talk about other people or talk a lot about my past (as long as it is not brought up casually in the chat). But girls I have talked to usually comment 'I'm sure no one else knows about it' or 'I know about it now, I am sure no one else does' on what I say to them. Even when I'm with a group of them one or two of them would talk like 'oh yeah, he does that, you probably don't know about it haha' to others which I didn't anticipate from them.

What could be the possible reasons behind this behaviour?
