Girls, Why do girls start talking to a particular guy more?

I like this girl and she has started talking to me more, starting conversation with me. I've tried distancing myself more and she has still started the conversation. So i know she likes talking to me. She and I don't know each other that well.

Because sometimes, girls don’t know what they want. Unfortunately, they only see the popular guys or the “bad boys” and think that everything is gonna be peachy and then they end up regretting it and that leaves all the good guys out there to dry. I honestly have no idea why it’s like that but that’s how it is. I was never into the popular guys or anything I was into the one who would treat me right and treat me like a woman

I'm not a popular guy. She is literally coffee shop lady and I'm a customer. She is 22 and I'm about mid 28. But she has become really really friendly, she is the one who has done all the initating and acting overly excited to see someone she doesn't know. She just started behaving like this towards me when I've literally done nothing to make her treat me like this. Now she and I are becoming comfortable with each other
