Uhh lack of eye contact, lots of space, nervous habits, maybe a sneak glance if they're not looking, i might ask them a question that I could've asked anyone. It'd be very hard to tell but the nervousness as long as you're not intimidating them is a dead give away sometimes.

Ita different for everyone. When I'm shy I get awkward. I'll avoid eye contact as much as possible. It will take a lot of courage for me to talk to him as I'm afraid I embarrass myself. But I will still try to be around him whenever I can.

But I've had instances where she sat next to me when she could have sat somewhere else. She had also stood in group settings with me there and she has pointed both feet towards me. She has even had her dominant foot placed forward pointing towards me

But she has made some form of conversation with me around others. But when the 2 of us are alone we have a more in depth conversation

uhh... this is being really contradictory. I mean.. you said she acted like she didn't like you.. but now you are saying she hangs out around you and have an in depth conversation with you. Which is it?

I wouldn't read too much into her foot placement. I mean, sure. Tiny indications of interest. Or maybe not.

It's normal to have more in depth conversation when it's one on one. That's cause there are less distractions around.

It's just hard to know what is going on. I just noticed some minor things that could indicate interest. Firstly out of nowhere she start talking to me. We've had plenty of conversations when we're alone but she seems more shy and quiet with me than others. Next thing when she placed her dominant foot forward facing pointing towards me, she then starts lunging on that leg. Like bending her knee back and forth towards me. Even when she was talking to me she angled herself towards me

Well.. let me just tell you this.. as a guy, you can make the first move. You don't have to wait for her to make a move. I mean yeah, girls are pretty bold these days but some still wait for the guys to initiate. Whatever she does may or may not indicate interest. But if YOU are interested then why don't you try? You can start by getting to know her more. Maybe ask her to hang out. Or maybe just text her. Try something.

Not all girls are the same. Maybe she's playing hard to get? Or maybe she's just not interested? I wouldn't know. I wish people could be more straight forward with their feelings.

Maybe think of questions that she has to answer. I don't know how you are affiliated with her. But ask her about mutual topics that both of you can talk about.

The only thing you can do is decide you are going to pursue this friendship. This takes some pressure off coz you can be super straight forward with her since you are only pursuing her as a friend first and see where it leads. Of course, all relationships AND friendships take effort. No one said this was going to be easy

I have asked her questions about the volunteering both she and I are doing and I get a response. She has teased me in the past too, she started giggling at me and said sorry I shouldn't laugh. One other thing I noticed was she was very quick to correct me to say her housemate is a female. So suspect she might be trying to look single

Well.. there you go.. so continue to build this friendship.. its usual for girls to tease their friends.. or even guys they like. you don't have to jump straight into anything. just take your time and get to know her. then maybe you will figure this out.
