Why doesn't she want me to know that she has a small tattoo?

i've known her for some time , but she's never told me about her tattoo's. i only know about them cause i saw a picture of her on social media which showed them. the one is on her side rib area near her bra strap a common place for a girl to get one and the other is sort of on her hip near bikini line. both are relatively small and she had them for a couple years now and doesn't appear to have got any since

but never seen either when i've seen her inperson which usually has been at our local pub or downtown. she's never worn a top that shows her side rib tattoo i don't even recall her ever talking about tattoo's or has it ever been mentioned there that she has them , but must of been some point in her life when she was interested in them as she got 2 when she was younger

i'm not sure why it matter to her if i knew about them or saw them in person? we usually got along well and she seemed ok with me when we talked.

note i think she got the tattoo's around 2018 , there is an old picture of her on her old vsco page and it shows the side one but pretty sure she didn't have it before that year

Some people have an extremely personal relationship with their body art, dude. Asking about a tattoo can be as simple as asking about a doodle someone got when they were bored, or as deep as asking someone about a deeply formative event in their life.

Sometimes it’s best to just let people share stuff like that as they feel comfortable.

true we don't know what the reason for her getting the tattoo back then , i just don't really understand why it matter that i knew she had a tattoo or not , there really common here on women her age so not really a big deal that she has one there

I feel yah. I'm always intrigued by the things people are and aren't comfortable with. There's no logic to where people draw the lines. I still don't know my girlfriend's real last name, for example. Not because she doesn't trust me, or because she's not loyal or something like that; she just doesn't like using her last name.

that's a very private thing to some people. Especially if it is one or two of those small cute ones. I hope she does not feel like you are her private investigator...

i've never asked her about her tattoo's , so no reason for her to think i'm wondering about them or something , i just find it off she's never mention it or worn anything that shows it by this point , she's had it for a couple years

It is an emotional thing. I’m sure she will show and tell if she was intimately involved or saw a long-term vision. Sometimes, folks regret their tattoo as well. There’s likely a gambit of emotions involved. From your communications, she strikes me as a private person. Introverted too?

maybe its possible she regrets it , she got it when she was younger. we know each other fairly well by now , it seems like an odd secret as most people likely already know about it

Shame is very different from guilt. It’s difficult to find one that we can be Revealed around. This fact depresses most people continuously…married or not.
