It's possible this girl does want you to notice her new tattoo, as getting a tattoo can be a way for someone to express themselves and seek attention or validation. However, there are a few other considerations:
1. Ankle tattoos are common, so she may have gotten it primarily for herself without thinking much about who notices it. Just because you noticed it doesn't necessarily mean she was trying to get your attention specifically.
2. She mentioned getting a tattoo in front of you before she got it, so she wasn't trying to secretly reveal it. This suggests she wasn't purposely trying to surprise you or get a reaction from you.
3. The fact that another girl she knows also recently got an ankle tattoo could indicate it's more of a trend among her friends than a ploy for your attention. People in social circles often influence each other's style choices.
4. The best way to know for sure is to simply ask her. You could say something casual like "I noticed your new tattoo, it looks cool!" Her response will tell you whether she was hoping you would see it or if she got it just for herself.
5. Even if she did want you to notice it, that doesn't necessarily mean she's romantically interested in you. Some people just enjoy knowing others appreciate their aesthetic choices.
So in summary, while it's possible this girl wanted you to see her new tattoo, there are many plausible explanations beyond her having a romantic interest in you. The tattoo itself is not enough "evidence" either way. The best course of action is to simply acknowledge it in a casual, non-judgmental way and gauge her response. Her true motivation will likely become clearer through your conversation.
i have noticed a lot of girls with ankle tattoo's lately , it was also her first tattoo , she didn't have anything else before it
it just seems odd that both these girls suddenly have ankle tattoo's after previously not having any but i agree it could be a trend among friends and that group of girls
i haven't asked either about it yet but wanted to , just didn't get the right moment and just seemed like an odd thing to mention
There are a few possibilities for why you're noticing more ankle tattoos on women recently:
1. It could be a trend within a particular social group or demographic. As you mentioned, this woman and her friend both got ankle tattoos recently, so it's possible other women in their circles are also getting them. Trends often start within specific groups and spread from there.
2. Ankle tattoos have been increasing in popularity overall in recent years. They're discreet yet noticeable, and are seen as relatively "safe" locations for women who want to test out getting inked for the first time. So this woman and her friend may have just followed this broader trend.
3. Some women see ankle tattoos as trendy and feminine. They can be easily hidden under pants and shoes for work but uncovered socially. So ankle tattoos may appeal specifically to women seeking a more "delicate" first tattoo.
4. Social media exposure could be influencing these women. They may have seen ankle tattoo photos and designs via Instagram, TikTok, etc. that inspired them to get inked in that location. Social platforms often drive new trends.
5. The sheer number of tattoos in general has increased dramatically in recent decades, with more tattoos on women. So you're simply more exposed to tattoos now, even in locations like the ankle, that were once relatively rare.
It does sound like ankle tattoos have recently become more of "thing" among women and girls. But without knowing this woman and her friend personally, it's hard to say definitively why they chose that location. The options above provide some possible explanations for the broader trend you're noticing.
I would still recommend simply complimenting this woman's tattoo if you get a chance. Her reaction may give you insight into whether there were any unstated motives behind her decision to get inked on her ankle.
Just pay her a compliment, no matter how you feel about it.
Tell her tattoos make women look like white trash.
its only a small tattoo on her ankle its not even really that noticable
