Did my girlfriend and her friend get what they deserved for picking on a smaller girl that was trained in karate and self defense?

My girlfriend and one of her friends got into a verbal argument at a bar with a short latino girl. Later , when we were outside where people smoke cigarettes and vape our paths crossed again. However drunker this time her friend a taller plus size brunette pushed the latino girl and my girlfriend about 5ft8 also close to being a bbw since college got involved too.. The girl had to be barely 5ft tall but needless to say they both chose the wrong girl to go after that night. the bigger brunette got hit multiple times in her throat, kneecap and a mean kick to her midsection that put her down for good. My girlfriend tried attacking her from behind and putting her in a chokehold but took multiple hard elbows to areas of her stomach and liver area and was on the ground with the wind knocked out of her crying. They had to go the hospital that night and still may get charged for going after the girl, even though they came out worse!

Some people are angry drunks and therefore shouldn't drink. They ruin it for everyone.

Maybe a long recovery and a few days in jail might teach them something.

Getting beat up and the embarrassment was pretty bad so I hope they don't have to do jail time.

Sounds like they all missed the real martial arts classes where they train respect. Martial arts is for defense, not starting bar fights. Nice story.

They wernt trained in any martial arts , just the girl they went after.

Nobody thought that girl was going to do anything because of the huge size difference between them. So they didn't expect that she would know martial arts.

Cause while height can give you an advantage it's not a guaranteed thing. Besides the girl probably had her adrenaline kicking in.
