Why is punching another girl that started a fight still seen unladylike even now?

It's some girl I punched last year. She started the fight. I didn't. I finished it.

She seemed shocked... as if she really expected I would slap her around and do the ridiculous rolling on the ground shit. I heard one of her stupid friends saying that wasn't ladylike. Why not?

Someone that attacks me and won't stop or comes charging after me... I'm not gonna be slapping around. I'm throwing fists.

Basically this seemed her logic: She started a fight but suddenly, I'm suppose to reduce back to only slapping because that's supposedly ''ladylike''. Ladylike is not starting a fight at all.

You did job of defending yourself I think every woman should do that if anyone attack them their is nothing wrong in defending yourself and should forget that ladylike thing in such cases.

yeah the moment someone attacks me, they gave up the right of choosing how we're gonna fight.

Damn right! Just make sure you do it in a way tjat you can arguably say was reasonably force otherwise it becomes assault which is stupid but gotta fight smart to avoiding bring charge with battery and assault even if you're the second one to throw a punch
