Dropping female friend?

So I've known this lady at my work building for quite sometimes, she helped me a lot back when we were interning together. I always looked at it as colleague and nothing more. Recently she's been dating this guy for like a year now and always seems to complain about him since the beginning. I told her dont bring her sex life or boyfriend problems to me and told me she respect it but then bring it up again so I walked out like it was nothing then keeps telling me they broke up just for them to get back together so during the summer she tagged me in a post about her situation with her boyfriend hurting her so I snapped I told her straight up I'm not trying to hear your problems nor it's my business nor I have business having female friend unless we hooking up, dating soon or doing me favors then she pretend she didn't know what I'm talking about. I cut her off since then but a month ago she was calling me everyday for a week and some days but never picked up because I'm getting tired of her shit and not respecting me. I don't know about you but I dont believe in male/friend platonic friendship and I felt like she was trying to treat me like an emotional tampon. So for the fellas I did the right thing and females why you complain about your boyfriend just to get back with him? Ya just want free attention you're not getting from boyfriend.
