Why do women expect men to try & understand them when they don't do the same in return?

I believe its feminism. Most modern women, unconsciously now believe that anything that shows compassion or fair treatment to men is hurting women. They call it "pick me" behaivor. So most women shy away from it. Additionally, a lot of women have become entitled, and are encouraged to see men as less than, which has led to most modern women believing that they are already the best option a guy can get. Thus, they have no incentive to grow, or learn how to connect in a healthy way with men.
