I broke up with my ex girlfriend a year or so ago and she still stays in contact with my fam on social media but pretty sure has been in a relationship with a new guy after a few months it happened. I just found out her and mom have talked from time to time. Doesn’t really bother me but I find that odd? Why is that?
If your ex girlfriend had a good relationship with the rest of your family, there is no reason to sever this relationship just because one member of the family is no longer in contact.
One may have a number of affinities with the rest of the family, find them interesting or just keep in touch because something bonds them like a hobby or a common interest.
I find it nice that despite that fact that the relationship with one member has fallen apart, the contact with the rest of the family remains intact. One may be angry at one person in the family but not at the rest of the family.
She built a close bond with some of your family even if the relationship didn't work out. She may actually like your mother. My brothers ex tends to say hello from tune to time but that's about it.
Why is that so odd to you? People can remain friends. It's no big deal.
She probably had a good relationship with your family. Don’t read too much into it.
