Girls, would you raise your daughter to be traditional or modern?

Traditional. BUT, I think one of the most important more modern ideas that I would include is financial independence/financial literacy. A woman needs to know how to support herself while single so that she can choose a man based on value and character, not the NEED for money. I see too many women, as girlfriends, get overly dependent on their boyfriends for money or chase guys purely for money. That can put you in a very dangerous position. Financial dependence as a SAHM is something different, because hopefully you have vetted your husband enough to know he won't use money to control you.

The way I see it, if a girl makes $70k a year at her job, all it means is she will look for a guy making $150k. Women want to be financially dependent.

a mix of both really - i was brought up quite traditionally with a lot of emphasis on family values but i'm also quite modern growing up in this age of social media so i would want my daughter/s to be modern in the sense of individuality, school/career focused, confidence etc but i wouldn't them to be horrible like i see a bit nowadays where they have high expectations, fakeness, just general double standards

I would raise her to be traditional, there's no point in raising kids modern if most people are modern anyways. At the same time, I have issue with her growing up to be a modern woman as long as she is moral. I just wouldn't raise her that way.
