What does it mean when most people speak to you in a softer voice than they do with other people they know?

People often speak to me in softer, quieter voices than they do with other people. Is it because they think I look sensitive? Does it mean they like me as a person? Maybe it's because I too speak in a quieter voice and so they're just good at adjusting themselves to other peoples' interaction style.

Different people different vibe, that is how I see it. With some people I can tease more and we would jab and burn eachother constantly, but I know that with another group I need to tone it down. It could be that.

I speak in a soft voice when i first meet people because i start off shy. doesn't last longer than a few hours to a day though.

It could be a problem with the ears if they think they are talking too loud or had their ears pop open suddenly.
