Trending & News Yes - I do have a quieter voice in general due to including physical anatomy, muscle tension and control, cultural and environmental influences, and habitual speaking patterns. Also, due to hyperacusis, sometimes I'll be talking softly so that my voice won't cause me hearing discomfort. Especially if I have earphones or earplugs in that exacerbate the occlusion effect.
But no - It's not hard for most people to understand what I'm saying. I think I talk somewhat clearly enough people I don't have issues with it.
I have a really deep voice. I think I speak clearly but I have a childhood speech impediment (lisp) that comes back slightly when I’m extremely tired or drunk!
I'm one of many women with a sultry, slightly deep "bedroom voice" that many men have insisted "drives 'em crazy!" ;)
Nobody has ever complained that they can't understand me.
