Girls, I have this weird bump about an inch inside my bum and I've got an appointment tomorrow and I'm afraid they're going to use a speculum to look?

A speculum is typically only used inside the vagina, they have different tools to use for the anus. They’ll either have a feel with their finger, or ask for your consent to use one of their tools to open up the area. Either way they use a lot of lube and you barely feel it, so I wouldn’t worry.

I guess I'm just having anxiety over the whole thing bc I'm also worried that if they have me bend over the table for this it will be triggering for me and then the thought of cancer crept in... How did she die? Butt cancer.

They don’t make you bend over a table.. they will likely get you to lay on your side on the table.

Also, they only do stuff that you consent to. If you think certain things are going to trigger you and you don’t want them to do those things, tell them that.
