Yes. They are not called "mans best friend" for nothing.

Plus we don't call aggressive and uncaring women "bitches" for nothing. Female dogs can be aggressive and moody for no good reason.

Yep. They can easily smell it, if nothing else. They just don't care (usually).

I think they do cause my friend had a dog and I used to babysit his kids and he told me his dog preferred males. My friends cat prefers females.
