Will they fix it or are they going to just pay me what's it worth?

So on Friday, we were in involved in a chain reaction. We were literally at a red light when we got hit, thankfully no one was seriously hurt, my mom hit her head really hard but she was okay to still be able to walk away from it.. just 4 cars being damaged.

After being homeless, this was my first car to own, thankfully I have nice co workers to pick me up and drop me off. I just still feel sad, because of my past and knowing how much I achieved when I was able to own a car finally. The insurance wanted me to release the car to see if it's worth fixing I guess. So yesterday I'm assuming they took it away.

Whether they will fix your car or not is determined by the coverage that you possess. If you have collision insurance then they will repair. If you have strictly liability insurance then you will be responsible for repair. If someone else struck you then they will pay whether you have liability or collision insurances.

It just sucks though, like 2 weeks ago I had it repaired which cost $300 and then 3 more things that was major needed repaired. It was a fixer up for sure but I just loved it and was slowly fixing on it.

If you have insurance, then your insurance company should cover the costs of the vehicle itself. Assuming you weren't directly at fault, you could also make a claim about the person who hit you.

Yes we have full coverage, we were literally at red light when we got hit by the other person that was hit as well. We saw it happen, but we didn't expect for the car to spin and hit us. I'm just thankful it didn't hit the driver side or the passenger side. That's what we was told and did.
