first of all I have a southern accent so thanks :) but second of all if you have a southern accent you better from the start be super nice because I tend to steriotype yankees as rude which I hate rude people! sorry but I think its just a southern thing or something it honestly starts before the civil war that southerners are known for their nice hospitality and what not and yankees are known to be rude... not saying you are rude but you are gonna have to make sure you are waaay beyond nice so no sterotyping! at least you don't have a NJ accent those make me want to beat my head in (yes I am actually someone who hates jersey shore! gasp!)

I also have a southern accent, so thank you ;) and in my personal opinion, I am addicted to a New York accent! Lol. I think a New York accent is quite sexy, if we're being forward here. I feel like you can be quite intimidating when you need to be, and I'd probably end up getting into an argument with ya because I'm too busy listening to you speaking. Lol.

i live in Virginia so I don't have an extreme southern accent but it is pretty noticeable. Personally I don't really like northern accents. But that's just me.

that I know of? no, I live in the south and a lot of pepole hate northern accents because northerners typically talk really fast and a lot of us talk real slow so its weird... I prefer no accent because I thikn too many southerners sound retarded

Everyone I've met while on vacation somewhere else, everyone that moves here, etc always points out that they don't believe I've lived in Dallas my whole life because I have almost no accent lol.. so I'm just going from that.

I'm originally from Georgia, and I have a bit of a southern accent. I agree with what sourpatchchik2 had said, NY accents don't exactly phase me either. I don't have any problem with them.
