I feel like I wasn’t meant to be this?

I think it's normal to feel out of place, especially at certain times in our lives. When I was 14, I spent a lot of time in the woods, and would often imagine I was a deer. It helped me feel like a belonged there. I think it's important to remember that humans are, in fact, animals. We came from the same place as many other creatures. Modern life distances us from our roots, but we are still flesh, blood, and bone. We still need to eat, drink, sleep and breathe. Humans are just another sort of animal. I would recommend you spend more time in nature if that makes you happy or feel more in tune with yourself and the world. If you're able to of course; if you're too young to drive, ask your parents to take you camping sometime and see what you think about that part of the world. Also, if you're interested in animals, there's a youtube channel called CasualGeographic that's pretty funny or informative about a variety of wildlife, so you might like it.
thank you so much! i’m 17 so i thought i was too old to still feel like this , but i’ll definitely try to get out there more even though it’s hard. I am an outside person and i feel at home around animals and only animals. that makes a whole lot of sense. Thank you for this!!
It's not uncommon to have thoughts or feelings that may be difficult to understand or express. However, it's important to know that feeling like you were meant to be an animal is not a common or typical experience for humans.
It may be helpful to explore these feelings further with the support of a therapist or counselor. They can provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for you to talk about your thoughts and feelings, and can help you gain greater insight and understanding into what may be driving these feelings.
It's also important to practice self-acceptance and self-compassion, and to recognize that it's okay to have thoughts or feelings that may be unusual or outside the norm. Remember that you are unique and valuable, and that you deserve to be treated with kindness, respect, and understanding.
i’ll definitely talk to my therapist about it…just hoping she doesn’t send me off anywhere..
what could this mean?
i’ve always felt out of place around people, but with animals , i feel at home , at peace.
More than a companion, like i’m one of their own.
thank you so much for your kind words! i’ll take that with me on my journey
It's great to hear that you have a therapist to talk to about your feelings, and it's important to trust their professional advice and guidance.
Feeling out of place around people but at home around animals is a common feeling, and it's possible that you may have a special connection with animals that you don't feel with humans. This could be due to a variety of factors, including your personality, past experiences, and your innate interests and passions.
It's important to explore these feelings and interests in a way that allows you to feel fulfilled and happy. This could involve volunteering at an animal shelter, working with animals in a professional capacity, or simply spending more time around animals in your daily life.
Remember that there is no right or wrong way to feel or live your life, and that it's important to prioritize your own well-being and happiness. With the support of your therapist and loved ones, you can explore your interests and passions and build a fulfilling life for yourself.

Well, surprise, you are. We all are. Humans are animals, like any other. We're primates, part of the great ape family. Others include chimpanzees, orangutans, and gorillas, to name a few.
Yes , but i feel like i should be an actual animal. Habitat and all
You are an animal.
Humans are primates.
What is it that other species do that you are not doing but want to do?
i just feel out of place being a human being. They live and thrive in nature
Nature is a gauntlet, the weak and sick get culled quickly, so it only seems like thriving is more common, because the strugging animals die quick.
So what do you feel like you were meant to be?
A cat
For how long?
