Trending & News A friend of mine recently had a miscarriage and she found out that she could never have children which has changed her personality completely by the way she is only 18

No, that would just make me a bad person. Taking the choices of others away because I dont have a choice anymore? No, That sounds bitter and angry. Not sure its possible but it could even make my opinion stronger. If I know how it is not having an option I would wish others dont have to go true what I do, let them have it better.
Bless you.
First I would like to know why, if she got pregnant before why would she be told she could not have any more children. What is the cause for that? Doctors can be wrong. The doctors told my mom she could never have children and she had three with bi problem. That happens a lot!
Would it change my mind about abortion? I am pro-life.
I didn’t wanna pry she was really messed up about it but it got me thinking about that old saying “ You don’t know what you have til it’s gone”
Still wouldn't change my opinion. My personal experience or preferences shouldn't dictate how others live their life.
I still believe abortions are a right that women deserve.
That's good. That's one less kid being born and one less abortion being performed. It's a win-win!

My chances of being able to carry a pregnancy are slim. I've already had an ectopic pregnancy, so my chances of another are higher. I was pro-choice before being told that and I am still pro-choice. Nothing would ever change that.
What about people who don’t have a choice
You're going to have to elaborate there...
What? That was the entire point of this post😂
I’m talking about how people don’t realize what they have until it’s gone
There are so many fertile young women saying they don’t want kids
While at the same time there are many women who don’t even have the option
It’s just something to think about for pro-choice women
I mean I understand it’s a woman’s choice but say you were the only woman on earth who could have children how could you not feel obligated to have them
I would love to be able to carry my own but the reality is it could likely kill me.
I really don't understand what you're trying to get through here. How is someone else not being able to get pregnant or people not wanting to get pregnant a pro-choice issue?
It’s just something to think about.
Most people don’t care until it’s them
“A cornered cat reveals it’s true nature”
Being pro-choice isn't not caring though... Like have a baby if you want to and are able to have a baby... Don't have one if you don't want to... It's pretty simple...
Well that’s irresponsible because no one ever says don’t have sex
Don’t have sex and none of this is an issue
Sex is a natural part of life. It isn't only for creating life. It's pleasurable for a reason.
So is having children
Having children isn't necessary for everyone to have a happy life. Some people don't want children and that is perfectly ok. Some cannot have them which is also ok. They don't have to give up on something pleasurable just because they don't want or can't have kids.
But people don’t support celibacy and that’s a bigger problem than abortion itself
If you think about it the children are not the problem
People just want to behave like animals because what? It feels good? Such a waste. Someone who thinks like this will never experience true intimacy
And it doesn’t make sense for women because you gals don’t even cum and still take on all the risk of having sex
Is that not ridiculous? At least if men have sex an orgasm is guaranteed
Tell me you've never made a girl cum without telling me 😬
I’ve made one girl cum multiple times because people in relationships have much better sex because we know one another’s bodies and how to get each other off
Only girl I’ve had sex with for the past 3 years
Sex isn't that risky there's literally 5 days out of a month that it's possible to get pregnant
How days out the month are there to get an STD?
Women are biologically more vulnerable to get an STD than men
That is irrelevant to the discussion...
That’s an acronym for Sexually transmitted diseases
Which is irrelevant... Unless you are referring to fetuses as STD'd then go off
So what does a woman who doesn’t want children have to gain from sex?
Nothing but disease and trauma
PLEASURE AND INTIMACY
Both of those can be experienced without sex
So what else ya got?
Not the same.
Probably. I’m not in that situation, so I’m unable to know what my answer would be. Life experiences can really change someone’s perspective
Exactly , and people don’t really know who they really are until they are the persons it happens to
No, some people should never be parents, more so if they don't want to be regardless of age. No kid should be stuck with a parent who don't want them and don't care about them or is just straight up shitty parent.
Well you are just making excuses because there is no such thing as a perfect parent
But I think you’re missing the fact that the entire point of the pro choice argument is Choice
Which a lot of people don’t have
There aren't a perfect parent but there are people who shouldn't even have the title "parent", also I get the question and I also know that many women feel 'robbed' if they find out they can never have kids even they never wanted one to begin with. No, my opinion won't change
No. My opinions and experiences are my own. I would never want to rob someone of a choice they felt was right for them even if my own experience went against it
That’s very hypocritical of pro choice people though
Must be so hard for her... carrying a child is one of greatest joy of a woman... tell her to be optimistic. she can always go for surrogacy
You have to be a pretty big piece of shit if you think your own life experiences should dictate what other people can and can’t do.
Can you imagine if Queen Anula said that
Who the fuck is that?
A pretty big piece of shit
Nothing will ever change my position and pro choice will always be my position.
I can't see why it will change it
Regardless of me able or unable to do so, has no impact on the reason someone should have a choise on the matter
No, my views have never changed and never will.
A refusal to change is a refusal to learn
Are you even entertaining the possibility that you are wrong?
I don’t know your views and don’t really want to know
My view of abortion will never change. I have always hated it always will.
Nope. Learned very young having children would be difficult for me, I’ve lost babies and I’ve had surgeries to help my chances. I still will be and always have been pro choice.
That doesn't change anything. And it's not like I'm the one who wants to raise their children just because I can't have kids.
Well I was just pointing out the fact that some people have much much shorter lifespans than others
And what does that have to do with abortion?
Many people never even get a chance at life
And so? Many sperms aren't born. Also i don't assume that all life are the same.
Whether or not you assume they are the same do you believe that any living thing actually wants to die?
Well nobody likes to die but sometimes we have no choice. I don't give human rights to a fetus the same way i don't give human rights to cells which are also considered a living things. Of course i can make exceptions for people who are suicidal.
Also because im not vegan so i kill animals for food.
No, I learned at a pretty young age that having children could be difficult, I still am prochoice.
Nope. I dislike abortion and would hope the mother would choose like, but I completely despise intrusive government power.
Why? Just because I couldn’t have children that means everyone else could kill theirs?
That makes no sense.
Sorry about your friend, by the way. Maybe she’ll consider adoption in the future.
If I can't have kids abortion becomes irrelevant.
No, it's for the mother to decide.
Not at all, I don't and have never wanted kids.
I don’t like how that statement is never accompanied with “ I never want to have sex”
Because that means the reason you don’t want to have children is out of pure selfishness you honestly shouldn’t even be dating
So why don’t you want them?
I have an ASD, CVID, as well as EoE, and colorblindness. While colorblindness isn't a problem, the others are. I don't know if EoE and CVID have any genetic ties. I do know ASD and colorblindness do. I don't want to put another person what I went through and am going through. Especially since I don't think I can provide the same level of support my parents did.
Abortion= murder
dont really think so
Nope
No….
Miscarriages are pretty common meaning a lot of babies are gonna not make it anyways
