This is a reference to a story that aired on the Today show that because of the law in Arizona that abortions are only allowed to save the mother's life so this mother couldn't have an abortion at 21 weeks even though it was medically determined that the fetus was incompatible with life. https://www.yahoo.com/news/roe-v-wade-ruling-she-163634224.html This is one of the heartbreaking stories that like others will be revealed after this ruling, and not everyone will have the money or the resources to travel to another state so don't even start with "she could go to another state" argument. So as usual those with heartbreaking outcomes who are poor will continue to suffer needlessly.

I looked at the Facebook page and I was so embarrassed that some of the most heartless things said to this woman were from other women who claimed to be pro-life. They acted like she was some kind of heartless monster because it was breaking her heart that the fetus was suffering seizures inside of her of she wanted to end her unborn child's suffering. Who are these people? If being pro-life means that we have no empathy for someone in a heartbreaking situation, I just cannot be a party to that.

I think about children that are diagnosed with terminal illness, we let their parents decide what care they shall receive and how long to prolong their life and when to let them die with dignity, why should we look at the situation with the unborn differently? Why in this situation would we not let the parents advocate for the unborn child, they love their unborn child more than any of us strangers could.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. While I am against late term abortion, health risks/danger to the life of the mother/serious issues with the fetus should ALWAYS be exceptions for late term abortions. I am still pro-choice. This is why I hate pro-lifers. They're not all as bad as those women on fb you mentioned in your description but the majority of them (at least 90%) aren't good people. All they want to do is shame women for having sex and having abortions.

I feel the same way. I also think some of those women that I mentioned on Facebook are living in a bit of a fairytale world, some of them were telling her to "pray for a miracle", I would imagine she's probably been doing that every waking hour. It's just insane, I've met some good pro-life people that do charitable things for mothers and children but too many others that just parrot heartless comments and give me the impression that they are very detached from reality.

I can't really trust pro-lifers even if they do charitable things for women and children because they may still want to take away our rights. I mean I'm ok with people not agreeing with abortion but I don't like people who want to take away abortion rights.

Dont know what “incompatible” means here but 99.9% of abortions are in the first 10-15 weeks. I’m actually ok with 20 week bans. As long as a woman isn't made to give birth to a dead fetus, or a 10 yr old forced to birth her rapists child…which is happening now

For example I’m pro gun. But I don’t think 18 year old kids should be able to buy guns when you have to be 21 to buy alcohol.

This example she gave in the question though is one that bypasses that time period threshold. Why? Because if she carries the labor anyway she could die, or the fetus could die.

I have always believed abortions should be a legal option in cases like this where there is a health problem with the fetus and/or mother, in cases of rape or incest and when the mother is underage.

But I do not support "convenience abortions", which are nothing more than after the fact birth control, which over the last few decades have accounted for the vast majority of abortions.
