To people saying that rapists should get the death penalty, at what age do you think would be appropriate to qualify for this punishment?

I don't think the death penalty is appropriate for any crime but certianly life in prison for rape is absolutely reasonable. No age minimum, in my opinion. If a 15 year old is a rapist he's not on his way to cure cancer or something. Jail forever.

That said it does have to be proven beyond a reasonable oubt. No plea deal. No taking anyone's word for anything.

a lot of girls regret their first time. some would even call it rape. i think not knowing what the other person is thinking is a problem. that's not a crime. but some guys don't care and that's the problem. it's not hard to distinguish that characteristic in people.

you've gotta wonder why a girl would be with a rapey guy in the first place? she might be mentally ill?

I believe punishment should be based on criminal behaviour and not on age or health condition. So the one who rapes at age 12 should be punished the same way as the person who rapes at age 40.

about 16-17. if there was barbaric acts, torture or they murdered the person maybe even 14

i don't think people can be rehabilitated through the prison system. i also think psychology is bullshit. the best treatment is friendship, love and understanding.

i think a death penalty for rape is extreme, only because i want them to be raped every day for the rest of their lives.
