I can only, reasonably, give my opinion on male rapists and would require an infallible justice system.
If males, I would hope, that instead of lengthy incarceration as a form of castigation for rapists, they'd be given a choice.
[ For first timers ]
1 - Standard incarceration and letting the inmate society have their way with them
2 - Lengthier time submission to qualified institutions where researchers could study the individuals and gain insight as to how better protect our society and our men from committing these acts.
[ Habitual Rapists ]
1 - Submission to qualified institutions where researchers could study and dissect the individuals and gain insight as to how better protect our society, and our men from committing these acts.
2 - Castration
3 - Exile
As a man, I absolutely abhor and fail to reasonably justify another man's choice to force themselves on another individual in human society for the benefit of self gratification. It goes against the ideas of masculinity, goes against our nature, and it goes against our role in this world as fighters, providers, protectors.
But our justice system is not infallible.
I do assign some blame towards our modern civilization and society, to a certain degree, that sometimes seem to be actively emasculating much of our male population.
Like Robert E. Howard wrote “Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”

No I actually think it’s too harsh actually
I think it should be tit for tat. They should also be raped and made to feel the same which they made someone else feel. Death is not the solution, death is easy.
Yes. Rapists should fear for their lives for even considering to attempt the crime.

I don't see how that could happen. Once they're convicted that's a lifelong brand that they have to wear and advertise everywhere they move. Some states put a lifetime sentence on habitual offenders, then offer them a way out if they give up their balls before leaving. I'm not sure how that would work with a female who is a habitual sex offender though.
That detail aside, they get slapped down really damned hard in the game of life, I mean look at the cheering for Weinstein getting locked up and MeToo happening... yeah, he abused a position of power, but only had consensual sex. Still and all, his life is a bottomless pit of ruin now.
Again, I fail to see how you could make the punishments harsher without being completely draconian or taking notes from the Spanish Inquisition.Honesty I think depending on their actions a punishment should be carried out. If a rapist actually rapes someone then they should be out in prison and also get sent to a mental health hospital and they can't come out until they start showing and proving they don't have the urge to rape people. If a rapist had the intention to rape which needs to be present first but then the rapist doesn't actually rape but then someone else who knows the rapist knows they want to rape someone I still think they need to be sent to a mental health hospital and not be allowed to leave until they have shown their mind is no longer warped. And then if the behavior continues once more after that point in my opinion I think they should be in prison for life because clearly their mind is beyond warped despite the assistance they got in the past.
Yes they should. Contrary to popular belief, most rapist never see a day in court, and even fewer spend any time in prison. I don't have the stats for the US, but in Canada the sad reality is that only a
bout 12% of sexual assaults reported by police led to a criminal conviction, and only 7% resulted in a custody sentence. Of those who went to prison, most only serve 5-7 years IF the victims was under 16, or if they have committed a similar offence in the past (which would rely on that previous offence being reported, which it likely won't be as only 6% of sexual assaults are reported to the police.)

https://www.sexassault.ca/statistics.htmThey already have to tell everyone they are a sex offender for the rest of their life right?
In this I it really depends on the severity of the rape, some people get ample punishment, some people seem to get a slap on the wrist.
I don't know how many are dumb enough to be repeat offenders but second time should be much worse, shit you do it twice you get absolutely no leniency, make it a law that he/she needs to have "rapist" tattooed on their forehead and any hat or covering hiding it is punishable by jailtime.
On the flip side of the coin, anyone who likes about being raped, usually women, need to have just as harse of punishment as an actual rapist.
If they are proven to have lied, or admit to lying cause they were upset they need to take on the jail sentence the falsely accused was facing, if not more jail time.If they get punished for the rape with jail time, and after serving their time rape someone else, yes; they should be punished more severely, in proportion to the gravity of the latest crime. If, however, they stop raping and turn their lives around, they should be left alone to live their lives as they see fit.
Shoulds murders also be punished harder? Your question is vague, punished harder, where? In what country? I am gonna answer from my own reality. The day to day reality of my country.
Of course they should be punished much more harder, in fact, they should be punished! In my country they are not! The impunity is ridicilous, but not surprising, after all the one who governs the country, is a pedo, who sexually abused his daughter in law (in the 80s,. 90s, I think) that couldn't count on her mom, who is the "first lady", and a well known fan of the esoteric (she's a which). If you live in a country where sexual predators receive life sentence for heir crimes, keep calm, because there is justice, and another justice behind bars. It's fine the way it is
Also they get punished by other inmates as a bonus
Even though that is not the original intention of the law
But it's become a norm in prisonIt all depends. It should be custom approach. Punishment should be enough for person to keep doing it again. There should be a way to tell whether the person is really guilty or not. Any thing to convey the message what they did was horrible. Eye ball for an eye ball. I am not sure if that is too far or not. This all should be taken care of by law makers and law enforcement agencies. And judicial branches.
Initially, I thought death would be a fitting punishment, but then I thought its too easy. I think castration is the best punishment for a rapist. Because not only they lose their very important male organ, but they also lose their status as a man. They can never commit any sexual act, ever. Plus, they are already treated like shit in jails, that's a bonus point.
Well in my country they get the death penalty. Why? Because that what a rapist deserves. They ruin the life of their victims irreversibly. Rape and sexual abuse isn’t something that ruin the person’s day. And next day they are good to go. Its very malicious and evil. It destroys the person to the core and leave them an empty shell. With damage that can take years to get fixed. Horrible psychological problems. And it doesn't get totally fixed. If thats not the definition of taking someones life. Then i dont know what is.
Not really. In November 2005, a William and Mary student woke up in the middle of the night with a knife at her throat. A 23-year-old stranger with a prior conviction for peeping at her apartment complex had broken into her apartment; he raped her, threatened her roommate at knifepoint, and left with two stolen cell phones and cash. The rapist was caught, convicted, and sentenced to 57 years in prison. I believe that penalty is severe enough.
I think rape should be among the few crimes that carry the heaviest sentences comparatively. However, I believe in a less punitive and more rehabilitative criminal justice system *overall*, so I think most crimes should be punished less severely than they currently are, probably including rape--unless rape is already punished less severely than most other crimes, but I don't believe that's the case.
More % convictions would be a start. What kind of deterrent is a harsh punishment that only applies to like 5% of all offenders?
Rapists should be treated according to the damage they did with Rape..
Child molesters, yes. Pedophiles are awfully protected and pedophilia is becoming more normalized. They should be tortured in the worst way possible, child molesters* mind you.
Rapists, yeah they're bad but prison should be just fine for them.Nah, I agree rapist when actually given punishment will never experience a peaceful day alice again.. But, that's if they don't plea a deal or actually get reported..
Max they get in Cali is five years UNLESS they have a weapon on them. Definitely should be more. What’s your obsession with down playing rape though? You ask daily rape questions and it’s low key weird
I honestly don’t know how hash they get punished. It’s pretty bad so it should be pretty harsh. I don’t hookup with real drunk girls ever... even girlfriends... but I’m usually not trying to get any super drunk either. I’m ready for bed by that point. I think drunk rape is probably the most common. If it’s pure assault... fry em...
maybe but who am i to say that
its hard to think of a punishment for them without letting your feelings get in the wayEvery case is individual and the punishment should be along to his or her crime. That can mean harsher or milder punishment. Surely sexual criminals should be together with other sexual criminals and not with other criminals. So the other inhabitants of jails won't be infected by their crimes.
