Why did a girl who used to think I was attractive and even like me call me ugly?

It’s hard to wrap my head around. She used to say I was hot and out of her league and She today found out I’m kind of a douche and proceeded to say I’m ugly and that any girl that dates me is doing charity work, I’ve had exes do this too and it’s like what the hell. Was I being lied to then or am I being lied to now. I guess I must be pretty bad

Guys do this A LOT. What's happening is they were hurt or offended by something so they're trying to bring you down with them. When we like someone we want to make them happy so we tend to hype them up a lot. When we are mad at/hurt by someone we want to hurt them in a similar way. So we lash out and say shit to put them down. I don't know which version is the lie but I do know that behavior is just saying the other person is too immature to express their thoughts/feelings properly so they're being childish about the situation.
