Why is it that attractive girls are so cocky?

I mean I know a girl she is really attractive. She can have every guy she wants. She will turn 17yo this year. She enjoys attention of guys so much. But she is just so cocky. Why are these girls like that.

People look for status, which brings a lot of satisfaction, and attractiveness is a source of status. So, the more a person is perceived as attractive in a social circle, the more status and confidence that person feels, and that can lead to narcissistic behavior. This applies both to men and women.

Oh right, good looking "alpha" males are never cocky. This is totally a problem isolated to women only. Both genders have cocky people who know they're good looking and get told enough that it goes to their head. It doesn't apply to everyone though.
