Why are the prettiest women often shy?

I tend to like really pretty women. And a lot of other guys like them, so it's not like a have weird taste. But I've found the prettiest ones are often shy.a In my experience, really amazing looking, outgoing women are a rarity. So why is it that really pretty women are often shy, compared to the less pretty ones?

Maybe they don't know they're pretty because the media is constantly bombarding us with what "hot" is. Hot also tends to get more attention than pretty,...its just more obvious. We can all identify societies definition of "hot" down to clothes, features, and attitude. But pretty has a more bias opinion and just harder to identify. Heck it might just be part of the identity.  Like how outgoing is often associated with "hot." Maybe because growing up certain girls were raised in social circles that held a certain value on apperance or physical attributes, while perhaps pretty children were raised in more isolated activities. Some being praised on beauty others on intellect. This some were raised never knowing. Some live in shadows of their sisters and their friends. Just a hypothesis anyway

Looks often don't mean you automatically have confidence. Maybe they were ugly ducklings when they were younger, or were just bullied in general. Confidence is more in the mind than anything. So if she doesn't get a lot of positive reinforcement, she most likely will not be confident. Shy girls get very little positive reinforcement, so her shyness continues. It's why women who lose weight, get implants or have plastic surgery often don't feel better from it. They need to sort things out in their head first.

Maybe that's what makes them so pretty? :o Certain characteristics can be seen right away, innocence, timidity, confidence.. and these are things that can influence how other people see us psychically.

i might have a theory. And it usually applies to all people that are beautiful pretty or above average. These pretty people don't get approached as much as you'd think just because they look "pretty" and those that might be interested in them instantly think about rejection thinking they get all kinds of attention. SO it usually happens that pretty people get a bit "neglected" and they might feel that.

Ask any above average woman out there and she'll say that she doesn't get approached that much.

Also everyone thinks that being beautiful means shallow so again that works against pretty people.

Late bloomers?  My theory is that pretty girls now were not so pretty long ago. And pretty girls long ago are not so pretty now. Ever notice that?

They are usually shy for the mere fact that whenever they look at a guy, every detail is being looked at, the way they speak and for what they say when they speak. She herself knows she's pretty, so it shines out, that's the main reason why they are shy. Another thing is, whatever is said or done to a pretty lady always leads to a good-uncomfortable/sexy/sweet/adoring compliment. They are the ones that's usually soft spoken and who always smiles when they talk. So its usually the ones that are aware of how pretty they are

In general a really pretty woman is more likely to be shy than outgoing due to the fact oftentimes, good looks can bring a whole lot of good impressions as well as attention without requiring confidence or a good attention grabber.

Because many things already come easier to them due to being attractive alone, the need to work their charm by talking or developing a lot of confidence by making 'ballsy' moves never really arises.

First of all many of them weren't that pretty growing up so being ugly made them shy and self-conscious. Second of all they get stared at a lot which makes them even more self-conscious. Third of all pretty girls often don't need to BE outgoing in order to get a lot of attention anyways. Speaking partially from experience, partially from observation. Haha.

Maybe because they don't realize that they are pretty or it just their characteristic.About the less pretty one I think they need to be not shy as they need to do something to make them stand out.Otherwise guys won't notice them.

They are usually pretty because they care so much about their appearance and put a lot of effort into looking and acting attractive. People who care about their appearance are more likely to be shy.

Not everyone has self-confidence. Most girls don't realize they are pretty no matter what you say. They just think you are trying to be nice. Girls who are outgoing and aren't as attractive could be attractive but some tend to be clingy or annoying so therefore that makes it less attractive. I am not saying I am pretty but I get a lot of compliments and I don't think I am pretty. So to basically sum it up. Confidence is basically it.

Because we're not sure if you actually want to date us for us or for the sex. So we tend to get really shy because of it.
