Yes. This happens more often than you might think. Some girls truly do believe they "can't" make the first move. Some girls really do think the guy HAS to approach them and HAS to ask them out. They believe if he doesn't, he doesn't like her. This may not always be true.

Ladies, be gentle with men! Some guys are super nervous about women. They are afraid to approach a woman they like. They may not be confident. They may think she is already taken. They may have the "a girl like that would never go for a guy like me" mindset. They may worry about looking like a creeper. They may fear rejection.

There is nothing wrong with a woman making the first move. If you like a guy, talk to him. See what he's all about. See if he's single. If so, see if he's interested. Ask for his number. Ask him to get drinks/a coffee. Ask him to join you for lunch/dinner. All it takes is one little move. If he says no, shake it off and don't take it personally. He may already be taken or he may just not be interested. There isn't a single thing wrong with that! He just wasn't the guy for you. The good news? There are plenty of other guys to choose from out there, so don't give up. The same advice applies to men. Don't be scared to approach a woman. Do it in a respectful and appropriate manner. ABSOLUTELY. Some girls have no confidence whatsoever, and they will like you but not say a word to you about it. Or even remotely show that they like you, but deep down they actually really like you.
