My my mom would pick fights with me and my dad and now she is dying due to brain tumours and a possible facial or skin tumour too. She hated me from the day I was born and only got pregnant with me so she could spend my dad's money and she tried to kill me off multiple times by withholding medical treatment when I was a child who could not walk to the doctors office by myself.

Some people with a troubled childhood or past relationship trauma will do this because they can’t deal with everything being good. They’re used and addicted to the up and downs and don’t know how to handle a good, emotionally available and stable guy/girl and they will get bored or freak out and pull away when they meet one.

I had an ex girlfriend that finally admitted to it. I always knew she did it but thought she just liked drama. Turns out, she was so insecure, she couldn't handle it if a relationship was going to smooth, so she would start an "inevitable argumen", just to get it out of the way.

One of my friends actually admitted to doing this to her now ex (bless him since he’s deceased) but she said he was too calm all the time so she would pick arguments just because. I would never do that, but I guess some women are like that
