Why did a woman spread a lie that im dating a manager at work when im not?

i dont have the capacity to speak to them in a way which would be professional and if i had to have that conversation i would say somethings that i have observed and are uncomfortable truths. these wouldn't we work appropriate. ie i tend to go for the jugular when im mad.

Well don't get pissed then anon, people wanna be with you, it seems more of a compliment if you think of it and the fact that it's not true means it's not real so if you know the truth who cares what the rest think, you can just say, "I couldn't help but to over hear that you believe that I'm going out with ______ I don't know who spread this rumor but it's not true" boom
