Girls, Asked a girl for her number, texted her the next day and no response?

I was at work at a tire shop and a cute girl came to get something done. I was working on her car and told her a couple things about it and she was smiling and I caught her staring at me. I asked for her number, she said sure, handed her my phone and she put it in. The next day I texted her around lunchtime and it’s now been about 24 hrs and no response. Did she just give it to me so I’d leave her alone? After I got her number I saw her staring and smiling more so I don't know. Thought she was interested but apparently not so.
