Why women always feel the need to tell a man when they're on their period?

The only man I’d tell when it is happening would be my boyfriend mostly because I have no energy, get headaches more frequently, etc that interfere with the hobbies we enjoy doing together (such as the gym and running). It messes with your emotions as well so it is good to give your partner a heads up. As for just telling any guy, no lol, and I don’t know any women who go out of their way to do that as who wants to bring more attention to it especially from someone who does not understand what it is like

That being said they might want to be comforted, once in a while cramps get really intense and you are left being curled up in bed, wondering how is it fair for women to be expected to live normally and function and work normally with all this pain and discomfort.

Having someone take care of you, comfort you and cuddle with you can be nice.

You are left feeling very vulnerable and weak and if you are close to someone emotionally, you want them to be there for you.

If I had a boyfriend right now, it would be really nice to be comforted by him.

But I am not telling anyone else.

I've had it mentioned a few times before sessions over the 30 years I've done massage as a profession. I someone is in otherwise good health, there really isn't anything I need to do differently, unless there is a presumption of a lady being pregnant. The first trimester we would advise against any massage other than maybe hand/arm/foot work. After that, prenatal, side-lying massage.

We don't. Only tell anyone I'm on my period is if I'm in a relationship and they are expecting sex. Doesn't matter if I'm dating a girl or guy at the time. I just say can't because got my monthly visitor. Other than that I don't announce it to anyone. No one needs to know when I'm on it. It's really only two days that's it's bad anyhow. Miracle of hormone control. Two bad days and then spotting and done. No one is the wiser.

Maybe because it's just part our day. It'd be like telling someone that you have a headache. Like there is no reason to share that but you do anyways.
